Toy Story PG

John Lasseter, USA, 1995, 77m.

Welcome to an astonishing world where toys play while their owners are away. Meet Woody, Buzz and all their friends in an adventure filled with humor, heart and friendship.

Old-fashioned cowboy toy Woody is threatened by a new arrival in his owner's bedroom: the flashy, hi-tech Buzz Lightyear, who doesn't realise that he is just a plastic plaything and not an actual space-travelling hero. At the time of its release, this film was hailed as a pioneering moment in computer animation, but what makes the film work is the way that the technological wonders are there to support a great piece of character-driven storytelling. Much like the childhood toys themselves, this animation has found a special place in the hearts of audiences and is able to charm generation after generation of viewers.

Please note we also have a Relaxed Screening of Toy Story curated for a neurodiverse audience, their assistants and carers. This is on Sunday 11 Feb at 11.30. More details here

On Saturdays our family screenings are followed by a free activity for children.
