The last film Judy Garland made for MGM contains the song that, apart from ‘Over the Rainbow’, she’s perhaps most remembered by – the euphoric ‘Get Happy’. It’s one of many highlights in this energetic musical about a theatre troupe from the city locking horns with Garland’s small-town farmer as they take over the barn for rehearsals and cause all kinds of chaos in their wake.
