Tomm Moore, Ireland , 2014, 92m.

Join us in celebrating St Patrick's Day with this animated family adventure infused with Irish folklore and traditional Celtic design. Beautifully drawn with a bewitching soundtrack, this is an enchanting feast for the eyes and a heart-felt celebration of traditional Gaelic storytelling from the award winning animation studio Cartoon Saloon (The Secret of Kells, Wolfwalkers).

Song of the Sea tells the story of Ben and his little sister Saoirse – the last Seal-child – who embark on a fantastic journey across a fading world of ancient legend and magic in an attempt to return to their home by the sea. The film takes inspiration from the mythological Selkies of Irish folklore, who live as seals in the sea but become humans on land.

On Saturday mornings our Family Screenings are followed by a free activity for Children.

The screening is Pay What You Can, which means you’re free to pay as much or as little as you can afford. By paying for a ticket, you will enable us to keep offering Pay What You Can screenings to families struggling with the cost of living. Thank you
