Robin Hood U

Part of Films for the Family
Wolfgang Reitherman, USA, 1973, 83m.

Disney's brilliant retelling of the folklore legend of Sherwood Forest sees a fox in the leading role of Robin Hood, the famous outlaw of who steals from the rich to give to the poor, helped by his sidekick Little John, a friendly bear, and band of merry men (or rather, merry woodland creatures).

King Richard's brother, the sly lion Prince John, and his slippery snake counselor Sir Hiss, have hatched a plan to line their pockets using the taxed money of the poor inhabitants of Nottingham, who can barely scrape by as it is. Robin Hood has set out to outfox him, but can he also win the heart of Maid Marian and free all the poor creatures who have been imprisoned because they can't afford to pay the Sheriff? This jolly animation offers a fantastical starting point for children into Medieval England.

This is a 'Pay What You Can' Family Screening.

On Saturdays and on weekdays during the school holidays, the film will be followed by a free activity for children.
