Presented by Dartmouth Films, GROOMED is a first-person documentary. It has the ‘feel’ of a drama but everything is true. A 66 year old man goes back after many years to his Primary School, and remembers. He remembers the apparent kindness of his teacher, Mr Moorby, and what lay behind this kindness. He remembers what happened in the classroom. He remembers especially vividly the psychological after-effects of the abuse into adolescence and adulthood. The film is an homage to creativity as a form of healing.
