Forbidden Games N/A

René Clément, France, 1952, 86m.

Forbidden Games was suggested by our member Rachael Grant who says, 'It’s a heart-breaking story following the bond between two young children trying to cope with their surroundings in a war-ravaged France. The two lead child actors are both excellent, and it’s one of the most poignant and affecting films about civilian life in wartime ever made.'

A young French girl orphaned in a German air attack is befriended by the son of a poor farmer, and together they try to come to terms with the realities of death.

Please note, the screening on Thursday 29 January is our free members' screening, while the one on Tuesday 3 February is a regular screening, which is open to the general public.

Booking for the free screening will open on Thursday 22 January at 18:00.
