British animator/director Darren Walsh and Emmy-winning producer Russell McLean have a long history of high-profile collaborations in the animation and advertising industries. They recently combined to develop an original Gerry Anderson puppet project, Hit Squad, for Warner Bros Animation and Hanna-Barbera Europe. They have worked together on Angry Kid (Darren’s original 1990s show for Aardman), Stopframe scenes for Martin Scorsese’s Hugo and Tim Burton’s Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, Black Mirror’s real-time puppet character in The Waldo Moment and created the iconic Compare The Meerkat ad campaigns. They combine Walsh’s expertise in stop-motion and character direction with McLean’s extensive live action and VFX production experience. We are very excited to have them on board.
Programme to be announced soon.
