Based on the beloved book from Roald Dahl, this film adaptation directed by Danny DeVito tells the story of Matilda, a gifted young girl who shares a home with parents who ignore her and a brother who mistreats her. Upon starting school, Matilda grows close to the kind and caring teacher Miss Honey but also falls foul of the bulling principal of the school, Miss Trunchbull. When Matilda discovers that she has telekinetic powers, she sets out to right all of the wrongs in the world around her. Celebrating 30 years, this timeless and funny tale puts kindness above all else and has a strong anti-bullying message at its heart whilst also being wildly entertaining.
