Maya and her dad, director Michel Gondry (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) live in different countries As a way to remain close to her daughter and continue to tell her bedtime stories, her dad asks her every night: 'Maya, give me a title?' From each prompt, armed with coloured paper, scissors, sticky tape and a camera, he creates a unique cartoon in which Maya is the heroine – voiced by Gondry’s daughter Maya herself, joined by actor Pierre Niney.
Gondry uses his trademark wit, whimsy, and mixed media to tell tales about mermaids, earthquakes, and anything else the two dream up. A whimsical, anarchic and sweetly lo-fi collection of fantastical tales, Maya, Give Me a Title will make children dream… and grown-ups smile.
