Stolen Identities

Mon 14 Sep 2026 — Fri 09 Oct 2026

The Cinema Obsessive presents Stolen Identities, an exciting new film programme at The Garden Cinema. A celebration of psychotic mimesis – the overwhelming desire to not just copy someone, but to become them. Whatever it takes. Many of us feel inferior to bigger, brighter personalities. We love them but, we kind of hate them too. And some of us will do anything to become them. Anything at all.

Stolen Identities features four unforgettable films from a 10-year period, all revelling in the psychological thriller genre. Come along to this sinister season of paranoid portraits, malevolent manipulation and murderous desire. You might even pick up a few tips. Stolen Identities. Only at The Garden Cinema.

Stolen Identities is presented in association with the National Film and Television School’s MA Film Studies Programming and Curation.
