Video Bazaar Presents: Santa Sangre 18

Screened in partnership with Video Bazaar
Alejandro Jodorowsky, Mexico, Italy, 1989, 123m.

Video Bazaar presents Santa Sangre, from legendary director Alejandro Jodorowsky, a surreal and visually staggering overlooked masterpiece that takes you into the darkest corners of the human psyche.

The film follows the story of Fenix, a young man who grows up in a circus family and becomes a skilled performer himself before his life takes a tragic turn and he becomes confined to a mental institution. Fenix then embarks on a surreal and haunting journey to seek revenge. With its stunning visuals, mind-bending imagery, and a haunting soundtrack, Santa Sangre is a truly cinematic experience unlike any other that has become a forgotten classic of avant-garde cinema and Jodorowsky’s filmography.
