GARDEN CINEMA EVENT

Industry Panel: Costume N/A

Part of Members' Events
60m.

As we are aware The Garden Cinema membership community is not just made up of cinema enthusiasts, but also covers a large range of film creatives, we like to help connect our members working across all departments of the industry.

For our regular industry panels, we invite knowledgeable speakers to discuss their specific branch of the industry, with plenty of time for asking questions. After the discussion, we all head into the Garden Bar, so you can network with fellow members.

On Tuesday 9 April, we will be joined by Joanna Johnston (Lincoln, Forrest Gump, Death Becomes Her) and Charlotte Finlay (Barbie, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Paddington 2), to discuss all things costume. They'll be exploring various aspects of the craft, from design to logistics, and everything in between, so come prepared with your most curious questions!

Tickets are restricted to 1 per member, and available for just £5, which includes a token for a complimentary house wine, beer or soft/hot drink.

About the speakers:

Joanna Johnston is a Costume Designer, who assisted Anthony Powell (Tess) and Tom Rand (The French Lieutenant’s Woman) before getting her first costume designer credit on Who Framed Roger Rabbit. She is especially known for her collaborations with Steven Spielberg and Robert Zemeckis, and has worked on a large variety of films, including Saving Private Ryan, The Sixth Sense, Death Becomes Her, War Horse, and many more.

Charlotte Finlay is a Costume Supervisor, who has worked on films such as BarbieLast Christmas, AtonementMunich, and many of the Harry Potter instalments.

Most recently, the pair collaborated on Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, The Witches, and on Robert Zemeckis' Here, which is expected to be released later this year.
